Join the Friends of the Washington Park & Zoo Railway at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center (ORHC) for some holiday decorating fun!
We’re partnering with ORHC to spread the word about restoring the historic Rose Garden Loop—and we need volunteers to help decorate rail car 6200 with a “Holidays with the Zoo Train” theme.
It’s a festive way to meet fellow train enthusiasts, lend a hand, and share the story of this beloved Portland railway.
Decorating sessions:
Thursday, November 5, 2026 | 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Sunday, November 8, 2026 | 12:30–4:30 p.m.
Location: Oregon Rail Heritage Center
Want to help? Email info@fwpzr.org for details and to sign up for either session—or both! We’d love to have you aboard!
