ORHC The Portland Zoo Railway: The Biggest Little Railway in the Country

Hear Melissa Darby provide the history behind the Portland Zoo Railway

You’re invited to kick off this year’s guest speaker series with “The Portland Zoo Railway: The Biggest Little Railway in the Country” at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center on April 28.

Speaker Melissa Darby will bring to life the story of this beloved local railroad—from its 1958 debut, when it carried over 200,000 passengers in its first summer, to the millions who’ve ridden since.

As an ORHC member or volunteer, your admission is complimentary, and you’re welcome to bring one guest. Registration is required. Tickets for non-members and non-volunteers will be available at the door for $15.
